When my son was turning the age to be
able to get his learner’s permit, all
he could talk about was getting a classic
car of some sort. Well, that’s where
the inspiration for Klassic Rides all started.
Before long, we were working on a 1968 Chevelle
for him and I found a 1967 Chevelle for myself
so we could work on them together for some
father and son time.
Over the next 12 years or so, we have
had many classics and have enjoyed working
on them together. To date, my son still
has his ’68’ and plans on keeping
it for his son, although I really don’t
know if he will really let him drive it
when it comes time.
We opened our business in early 2005 to
turn our hobby into a full-time venture
as partners. Since that time, Klassic Rides
has grown into one of the premier classic
car body shops in NC and has become renowned
for antique auto restoration in the southeast.
I look at Klassic Rides as not only a
family venture with my son, but as a future
for my other two sons and grandson. In
the years to come, we look forward to them
joining us so that they can carry on our
work, showing and sharing the love we have
for the classics. We treat every classic
we work on as if it were ours, which is
why I believe that our business has grown
so quickly over the years. Our customers
know our work ethic, and our shop reflects
our habits when it comes to professionalism,
organization and cleanliness. That’s
what makes Klassic Rides a leader in antique
auto restoration in the southeast, and
one of the top classic car body shops in
NC.
